Kaleidokids realizes THE key for us to make a significant impact on children’s lives is dependent upon building a strong team of experienced and passionate caregivers/educators.
Our Day School Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers meet the following requirements, which well exceed Chicago, Illinois DCFS licensing standards and is one of many ways that sets Kaleidokids apart:
While having the education and experience is very important, demonstrating the passion and dedication needed to care for and educate young children is just as important. For this reason, we follow a thorough interviewing process to ensure that our caregivers/educators meet the high standards that are required to care for your children.
Additionally, all team members go through a strict background screening, health assessment, review of professional references and three letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to the teacher’s experience and demeanor related to early childhood education and care.
Last but not least, professional development is not only recommended to the Kaleidokids team, it is required. Chicago/Illinois DCFS licensing standards requires that all staff complete 15 hours of professional development each year for child care; we go beyond that and require 20 hours. We want to partner with educators who have a love for and commitment to the early childhood profession; continued professional development is just one way to support them and ensure nothing but the most qualified team.
